The sun is finally coming out and Bwog is soaking it all up! Find out all the things Bwog was up to in this sunny edition of Field Notes.

Bwog enjoyed the outdoors:

  • Went on the Bwouting to Central Park!!
  • Spent some quality time lounging about outside.
  • Walked through Central Park and took pictures of all the pretty flowers.
  • Went to many parks (Bryant, Riverside, Central).
  • Got sunburnt by sitting on the Buell fire escape for a good 2-3 hours in full sun.
  • Went to lunch in Flatiron and ended up walking back to campus because the weather was just so nice.
  • Spent an afternoon bookstore hopping on the UWS and Morningside Heights.
  • Climbed the tallest mountain in Massachusetts! 3500 feet! I did not think I would make it to the top. Overcame my fears and made it to the top.
  • Went to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and saw so many beautiful plants.
  • Spent some lovely time in Riverside and on various Columbia lawns.

Bwog supported student performers:

  • Kicked off April’s Month of Dance Performances with CUBE’s Sleeping Beauty
  • Went to the Latenite prank show and was following only vibes, saw bwog people there
  • Attended the Latenite prank show without seeing the earlier show and was confused but along for the ride!
  • Attended the CUBE performance and was in awe of the ballet dancers
  • Saw Latenite (also with people from Bwog!)
  • Went to the CU Generation showcase!

Bwog celebrated:

  • Turned in my thesis! Doing a victory lap around campus.
  • Attended two chaotic Passover seders full of babies and passive aggressive talks across the table.
  • Went to Ben and Jerry’s for free ice cream!
  • Went home Wednesday for Passover but also to rest.
  • Hosted a lovely Passover seder.
  • Went out to Easter brunch with friends at Le Monde.
  • Went to CUP formal!
  • Went home for Easter, didn’t get an Easter basket.

Bwog realized there were only 3 weeks left of class:

  • Was shocked by how little time there is between now and the end of the semester.
  • Felt overwhelmed by the number of essays I have to write in the next three weeks.
  • Forced myself to do so much work and you know what, it was the right decision.
  • Remembered that my final project was due in April, thought I had lots of time, realized I don’t & it’s actually due next week.
