- The Harriman Institute is hosting a talk by journalist Yevgenia Albats moderated by Professor Valentina Izmirlieva on Alexei Navalny. The discussion will focus on his work leading resistance against Vladimir Putin, particularly during his imprisonment from 2021 until his death in 2024.

The talk will center around the evolving national order and the role of independent journalism in the context of the United States.

- Professor Edwidge Danticat, author of 18 books, will give the 2025 Lewis-Ezekoye Distinguished Lecture in Africana Studies. The title of the talk is ““All Geography Is Within Me”: Following in Zora Neale Hurston’s Travel-Dusted Tracks.” A Q&A will follow the lecture.
