In case you missed the SGA meetings in March, here’s the takeaways from the external meetings!
March 3rd
- There is going to be a constitutional review with the VP of Policy.
- SGA Elections start at the end of March.
- The PCHS Survey was posted on Instagram.
Beyond Barnard
- Class of 2024 outcomes are done and will be posted by Beyond Barnard.
- Many students and alumnus are using their services.
- Group advising is popular, but they are having difficulty with retention.
- Roughly ¾ of students have some sort of job or internship, including in the summer.
- They cater to less-popular industries using the focus series with nonprofits.
- Consulting/tech are becoming more popular and competitive, and Beyond Barnard is meeting this demand through videos and individual resources. There is a perception that most graduates go into finance or consulting, but education and nonprofit work are more popular.
- About 65 students/alumnus apply to health school (medical school, dental school) from each year with the average age being 25.
March 10th
- SGA elections start at the end of March.
- Student Services Committee tabled in March.
March 31st
- SGA elections are coming up.
- Information about the Earth Day Fair is coming up.
- The library survey should be sent out in the coming weeks.
- Nominate people for the SGA Awards.
