The Creative Arts ceremony took place over two nights this year, ahead of the Primetime ceremony scheduled for September 14. Happening in NYC: Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders addressed the New York Democratic party’s refusal to endorse Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani in the upcoming mayoral election, calling the decision “hard to understand” at a rally on Saturday. Mamdani won by 12 points over independent mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo in the June Democratic primary, but is yet to receive the public support of several prominent city and state Democratic officials.
