A crew of treasure hunters struck gold… no, silver.

Happening off-Campus: One million dollars’ worth of silver coins were recovered off the coast of Florida. The coins, minted in the Spanish colonies of Mexico, Peru, and Bolivia, were lost during a shipwreck in 1715 and will undergo careful conservation before being displayed to the public. (NBC)

Happening near Campus: August marked the “busiest month ever” for NYC area airports, which reported an all-time high of 13.8 million passengers passing through JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark Liberty. 2.5 million of those passengers are attributed to Labor Day weekend travel. (Gothamist)

Happening on Campus: Today, Columbia Business School will be hosting its 24th Annual Capital for Good Conference. The conference will connect students with social and environmental leaders from around the world who work at the intersection of capital, business, and society. Register here.
