No ragrets.

Name, School, Major, Hometown: Sara Gharib, Barnard College, Neuroscience & Behavior, Brooklyn, New York

Claim to fame: Probably being the girl talking about her fish or surviving on Snapple and a dream.

Where are you going? Home. To sleep.

What are three things you learned at Columbia and would like to share with the Class of 2030?

  1. You do not need to have everything figured out. Literally nobody does, and life is just
    about pretending that you do.
  2. Try everything. Some of the best parts of my college experience came from random
    opportunities I almost didn’t take.
  3. Protect your peace and protect your hobbies. You are a person before you are a
    resume.

“Back in my day…” The gates were open. Children’s laughter filled the air.

What was your favorite class at Columbia? Jazz with Christopher Washburne. I walked in knowing almost nothing about jazz and left with a completely different appreciation for music, New York, and storytelling.

Whom would you like to thank? My family, my friends, my mentors, and everyone who supported me throughout college. I’d also like to thank my fish for their emotional support during finals season. Most importantly, thank you to the people who reminded me to keep going even when things felt impossible.

One thing to do before graduating? Watch the sunset at Low.

Any regrets? No ragrets ever!
