Lawmakers from both major political parties interrogated Chew on various issues, including how TikTok manages content and its assurance to protect American user data. However, it was apparent that some members of Congress had limited knowledge of social media and the internet. Unsurprising. (AP)

Happening in NYC: New York City plans to build a 7-mile pedestrian and bike path along the Bronx waterfront, expanding the Harlem River Greenway from Randall’s Island up to Van Cortlandt Park. The plan aims to restore shoreline space that was eliminated by the construction of the Major Deegan Expressway and provide waterfront access to underserved communities. The city received a $7.25 million federal grant last August to expand greenways and waterfront access, and officials will hold public workshops to seek input from residents on the plan. (Gothamist)

Happening in our Community: NOMADS will be presenting “John & David,” an original musical by James Pecore (CC ’23), tonight at 7 pm, as well as tomorrow at 2 pm and 7 pm. The story follows two Biblical heroes in the modern era who become childhood friends, then separate in elementary school, and later reunite as college freshmen. As they continue to meet, they develop deeper feelings for each other and themselves, learning more about their passions and how to prioritize relationships over perfectionism.
