Does anyone truly like oysters?

Happening in the World: In a trip to Berlin lasting just one day, President Joe Biden reaffirmed unwavering support for Ukraine. His visit also focused on urging a cease-fire in Gaza. Despite the strong rhetoric of peace that punctuated his speech, he did not announce any formal changes of US foreign policy in the Middle East and Ukraine. President Biden received Germany’s grand cross special class of the order of merit, a prestigious honor only awarded to heads of state, as well. (NYT)

Happening in the US: A massive solar project backed by Google recently opened in Texas. Such corporate solar projects are meant to keep solar projects domestic, thus creating job opportunities and energy sources that are able to be regulated by the US Federal Government. Google is not alone: tech giants such as Amazon and Microsoft are also scrambling to find carbon-free alternatives for electricity given the ever-increasing demand for it. About 85% of the energy created from the project is planned to be channeled into data centers in Ellis County, Texas and for cloud computing around Dallas, Texas. (AP)

Happening in NYC: The 41st annual Oyster Fest, held in Oyster Bay, Long Island, prompted the MTA to make train service more viable while the event is ongoing. Happening from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday, the Oyster Fest expects a lot of traffic; the LIRR is adding three more trains on Saturday and Sunday. (Gothamist)
