Asian Americans in Focus: Data, Narrative, and Action

Edwidge Danticat: We’re Alone

- This event features Edwidge Dancat, Wun Tsun Tam Mellon Professor of the Humanities at Columbia University, as she discusses her new book, We’re Alone. This novel traces Danticat’s own life history, including themes of environmental catastrophe and the traumas of colonialism. More information.
Premodern Information Overload

- In the 21st century, we are accustomed to being overwhelmed by information. This event, hosted by Columbia’s Institute for Religion, Culture & Public Life, seeks to expand our understanding of information overload through a transhistorical lens. This event ties in religious sciences and discusses how they impact the history of information management. More information.
