There is no doubt that the anti-choice movement has gained a ton of ideological ground while limiting access to vital abortion resources over the years. By chipping away at abortion rights bit by bit, the right wing has made the idea acceptable that women are somehow not capable of making choices regarding their own bodies and health.

Polls show that support for reproductive rights is reaching critically low levels. Gallup reported in May 2009 that for the first time, people self-identifying as pro-choice are a minority in the U.S.

In the absence of a women’s liberation movement, too many people are bombarded with the right wing anti-choice ideology, lies, and pseudo-science but don’t know how to counter it confidently. This is why a meeting that unapologetically makes the case for abortion rights is long overdue. Join us for this important discussion.
