Because of this email, it looks like Alidad Damooei has filed a complaint against the Krebs camp for illegal campaigning before Spring Break. No comments from anyone right now, we’ll see soon what the Judicial Board does. If Krebs and Ahmed are found guilty, this first violation would most likely result in 10% reduction in posters. Since an updated rulesbook is not yet public, however, Bwog still presumes innocence.

@ick alidad may seem overly ambitious and “petty” or something, but krebs has proven himself to be a sleazy politican in the making. the fact is, alidad has really solid ticket. everyone on that ticket has proven themselves to be extremely intelligent, dedicated, and hard working. i know for a fact that donna has gotten sooo much done as student affairs rep, for example. krebs has been dedicated to self promotion since arriving at columbia, but has put none of that energy toward being cc09 president.
@adil is so nice i think he is such a genuine person. alidad’s pettiness is costing him my vote. and i’m tellin all my friends.
@Mr. Alidad I also liked you and Adil before today. However, after I saw how shameless he was about breaking the rules (which he should know since he wants to set rules for the WHOLE school), I decided I will vote for you. Oh, and I’m sorry Adil lacked such class as a candidate.
@Mr. Alidad posts multiple times on bwog
@Mr. Alidad Guess what? I liked you before today. I also liked Adil. It was going to be an interesting voting decision for me. Now I will approach everything I hear about this election with a bias against YOU.
Good job. Way to show a complete lack of class to my friend Adil.
@CCSC Cretinous Cock-Suckers Club?
@Can we get a 10% reduction in CCSC-related Bwog posts?
@interest group as a member of the rule-breakers constituency, I think I know how I’m voting now…
@actually filming the video is not campaigning. if you knew anything then you would know that both parties have been asking for the help and the opinions of current ccsc members, so please….get off it.
@please as if alidad’s ticket didn’t break any rules. didn’t it say somewhere that you couldn’t enlist the help of curent ccsc board members in your campaign? (cough, calvin sun)
@Anonymous This pretty much reminds me of this one time a kid I knew was running for 4th grade student body president and promised pizza for lunch every Friday and then the principal had to come around to classes before we voted and tell everyone that he couldn’t actually do that. True story.
@haha but did the kid lose?
@Anonymous Yep, he did, and I think he would’ve won without that happening. Also, I won my unrelated race for Vice President. (Set low goals and you’ll never be disappointed.)
@wtf 10 percent reduction in posters? christ. that might be the most ridiculous thing i’ve every heard.
@evidence this is how alidad takes care of business
@The King of Spain As this undoubtedly proves, democracy is a failed system, I hope you are happy with the grapes you bought.
@Matthew Broderick 10% reduction in posters? Is Reese Witherspoon in this election too?
What a joke.
@wait... does anyone seriously care about this? i don’t mean a violation, i mean CCSC politics.
well… now that they’re censoring our internet, i guess we should care more.
@outsider i am an outsider, my opinion must be validated! this is why ccsc elections are so retarded…RULE’S VIOLATION BEFORE THE ELECTION EVEN STARTED?? Give me a break, like alidad has been silent about his bid for president.
@are you daft? campaign rules are always in effect, regardless when elections start. i could start campaigning in the winter and that wouldn’t be fair to anyone.
how did you get into columbia?
@well alidad has been campaigning for this position from the minute he stepped foot on campus, shouldn’t that be at least a 20 percent reduction in posters
@HOLY SHIT I APOLOGIZE FOR MY MISUSE OF THE WORD “NEIGH.” I WAS MERELY OVERWHELMED BY THE MAGNITUDE OF THIS “NEWS STORY”.
@HOLY SHIT WE NEED TO STOP CLASSES – NEIGH, ALL UNIVERSITY ACTIVITY – UNTIL THIS ISSUE IS RESOLVED. A SCANDAL OF THESE PROPORTIONS WILL SURELY BE REMEMBERED FOR TIME IMMEMORIAL.
@wow what a pompously illiterate jackass
“time immemorial” refers to a time that’s very far in the *past*, not the future. so you can say “mankind has been involved in silly politics from time immemorial” but not “this scandal will be remembered for time immemorial.”
suck ittt
@outsider no, he’s not being petty. sending a mass email and then having it posted on the bwog makes adil’s ticket way ahead of alidad in terms of campaigning and getting themselves out there. that’s simply not fair to anyone running for ccsc.
there are rules to be followed. even if alidad didn’t file the complaint, the elections board would’ve reduced their poster count any way. no blame needs to be issued here.
@wow way to be petty Alidad…
@umm he’s not being petty. he’s following the rules.
