April is the Cruelest Month

Written by

It was once said that the only two things that are certain in life are death and taxes.  While one’s death only happens once, April 15th seems to creep up on us all too quickly every time that the spring flowers are just beginning to bloom and the sun shines bright.  This is just a friendly reminder from the Bwog editors to all you lackadaisical Columbians out there, that today is the day of reckoning with the Department of the Treasury !

So, if you are basking prodigiously on the steps of Low, don’t forget to keep the IRS on your good side by remembering to file your income tax returns before midnight.  Of course, you wouldn’t want to be the last person standing in line at the post office tonight, fighting the hordes (and the clock) for an April 15th post mark!

I would not want to be a post office employee this time of year. I stood in line for over an hour yesterday to get my taxes off...fights were breaking out.

Um...who even does taxes. My parents (accountant) still file mine. Am I the only rich spoiled columbiatch?

I only have to file form 8843!

And the filing date is June 15th!
