Despite the cold, Columbians have turned out in force for the inauguration viewing on Low Plaza. If you were hoping to see Obama’s speech outside, prepare to stand at the back.
Whether you’re in DC, around New York, or on campus, send in your Inauguration Day photos to bwgossip@columbia.edu. For those of you staying in to watch the speech, there are a plethora of options, including C-SPAN and CNN.

@hmmm oh get over yourself really, I wholly support Obama, but it has not been 24 hours. Lets not count our chickens before they hatch.
@hmmmm... I wonder why they didn’t go through all this trouble to celebrate American democracy four years ago.
@funny tasti d-issapearance has 29 comments and obama’s inauguration has 5… go figure. for my part i watched it in lerner auditorium and thought that rick warren should have turned down the sassiness when saying “malia” and “sasha.” i also thought that aretha franklin got carried away with the line “let it ring.”
@hahahahaha they were hosting an inauguration viewing inside lerner auditorium too
@hey more pictures of the crowd on the steps, please!
@In London... This really makes me miss columbia. Everyone in London is watching, but they didn’t cheer when Obama stated that we live in the best country in the world.
@Also in Paris This picture legit made me miss Columbia, A LOT. Hope everyone is having a great semester!
Love,
Your fellow Columbian living in the land of “frogs”
@Awwww... I wish I were there! In Paris, all the cafes and bars had nothing but the inauguration on them. Go Obama!
