@well 1) The one thing that seems to plague all reform efforts at every level is navel-gazing. Other schools do things differently and have something to teach us by being successful. I almost never hear about best-practices studies of our peers.
2) It’s hinted at but not clearly stated that the FAS is a new structure. A lot of the reform and restructuring dates back to Michael Sovern’s presidency in the 80s during Columbia economic recovery from near-bankruptcy in the early 70s. This continued through the early 90s. I don’t think Prezbo has fucked with the current FAS structure much.
3) If you took arabic a few years ago, Friday classes were guaranteed. Blech.
