This year’s Pulitzer Prizes are being announced at a J-School press conference right now, but why wait when they’re already online? On the “Letters, Drama, and Music” side, Newsweek’s Jon Meacham won in the biography category for his biography (duh) of Andrew Jackson, while Elizabeth Strout’s Olive Kitteridge won in the fiction category.
This year’s big winner on the journalism side is the New York Times, which won 5 awards, including “Breaking News Reporting” and “International Reporting.” More importantly, they recieved $10,000 for each award: that may come in handy.

@Dear Bwog, Though it’s not obvious in this post, you love the word meta. I can imagine that the press who attended the press conference about the press awards given by press professors and people will write articles about the event that are pretty meta. Please put up a post when that happens with links to those meta articles and also highlight how your previous post could have incorporated the word meta.
@... no, they’re only marginally meta, as is your comment, unlike my comment.
@recieved received.
