Join GlobeMed for a discussion with Dr. Roy Cohen, medical director of substance abuse at Einstein College of Medicine, on his career-long work treating HIV/AIDS and substance abuse in the Bronx–from the birth of the crisis in the 80s to today. Dr. Cohen will discuss his work in social medicine, and why working in HIV and substance abuse demands not only clinical skills but also strong doctor-patient relationships and community-based action. Discussion will be followed by a Q & A session.
