Guide to a Glorious Weekend

Written by

If you couldn’t get out enough this week to watch frat families playing Frisbee with their adopted dogs, couples stroking on Low, or observe hoards of unknown Columbia citizens emerging out of the woodwork in celebration of the beautiful weather, INY is here with more suggestions so that you can enjoy the great in and outdoors of NYC.  Check them out at insidenewyork.com.

Let Sakaya Smack Ya

Take an all day stroll down to the Lower East Side to Sakaya Japanese booze shop for a free sake tasting.  Talk up the World Sake Representative who will be there to disperse oodles of unpasteurized sake in hopes that you are something more than a college student looking for a free shot.

WHEN: Friday 6-8pm

WHERE: 324 E 9th St between First and Second Aves

PRICE: Your Saturday morning

A Safe Space for Amateur Actors

If you can’t seem to break into the theatrical scene or CU Players just doesn’t do it for you, INY has found a makeshift replacement.  Check out the loons in HiChristina in their 3-Act Soap Opera- a performance that lets you help decide how the drama will unfold.  Juicy.

WHEN: Friday 10pm

WHERE: 163 Eldridge St between Delancey and Rivington Sts

PRICE: $10 with glitter, $20 without

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” for Richard Lewis at Comix

WHEN: Friday, March 26th and Saturday, March 27th @ 8pm.

WHERE: Comix (353 West 14th Street, near 9th Avenue).

PRICE: $30.

Yum.
