Bwog received this e-mail from a tipster concerned about the level of the threat the ongoing deluge:
Dear Residents of 604 & 606 West 114th Street,
Due to the heavy rains we are currently experiencing some water penetration into the lounge area in the basement. The laundry machines remain available for use.
Please note that the Facilities department is aware of the situation and is diligently working to resolve this concern. In the interim, we would ask that you use caution when walking across floor in the basement area.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We apologize for any convenience this may cause.
Regards,
Nikkia Sharpe

Update: The water penetration will stop at nothing! A John Jay resident sends along this photo of her new ceiling. After informing Housing of the leak and being told to wait until it dried and call back, our soggy tipster was rudely awakened from a nap by a chunk of ceiling falling on her bed.
