@I don't understand the tarps… they roll out new sod every year on the south lawns anyway, so it shouldn’t matter whether the grass dies or gets cold or whatever they think is going to happen to it. additionally, I’m no botanist, but don’t plants need light? I feel like the tarps are more likely to kill the grass than help it….

@Anonymous your knowledge of turf fungus is strong, but i fail to see how it counters the fact that they roll out new sod every year anyway.
