@PE Can you petition to get into a PE class (they always seem full)? I’m studying abroad next semester and the study abroad office says I should try to get my PE credits done.
@nope you won’t get in any kind of trouble, but the Barnard registrar will send you an email to inform you that you’re being dropped from the class. They can tell with PE classes, since the registration process is so different.
@sleepy CULPA totally a loss today. Anyone know a good science course for a humanities person who is terrified at the idea of taking a class in the sciences?
@that bitch is awful. As much as it would be entertaining to see others suffer (hence why i liked the orgo suggestion above), I don’t think I can wish mowsh upon even my worst enemy.
@really, though only second semester bio is hard. 1st semester isn’t bad (unless you’re trying to get an A, and working really hard) and mowsh was seriously one of the best lecturers I’ve ever had here.
If you want an easy science, go psych, environmental science, or astronomy. intro bio, physics, and chem aren’t fun.
@prof here again No, it is not possible to forget one student. The entire roster must be filled in before it is submitted. So, if there is one TA who has not turned in grades (as an example) then everyone has to wait.
@Almost positive It couldn’t be 48 hours after the last final. For finals that are graded by TAs, and especially the long haul exams in the sciences that require a lot of attention and time to grade, there’s no way that would provide for enough time. It’s longer than that.
@prof here again the Registrar asks for all grades w/in 48 hours. But as you probably know, it is often much much longer than that. Most profs don’t like to have grading left to do into the next term, so you should have everything soon.
@*illiterate 14er jk, but the downvotes are because it says on the bottom of the schedule page when it was last updated since it isn’t instantaneous. Looks like this:
This information was last updated on Jan. 11, 2011, 03:02:00.
@Anonymous Thanks for reminding everyone who forgot, of course, at the expense of thanks who hadn’t. I mean, couldn’t you have at least waited until noon or later?

@CC'XIV yeah, how do you get into the barnard ones that “require permission”?
@yeah you go and sign up in person (really you enter a lottery to enter) after barnard students have registered.
@Anonymous Just say that you have permission.
@CC'XIV Can I get in trouble if I lie about permission? Seriously.
@nope you won’t get in any kind of trouble, but the Barnard registrar will send you an email to inform you that you’re being dropped from the class. They can tell with PE classes, since the registration process is so different.
@CULPA Apologies – we will be down the rest of this week but will be prepared for the start of the semester. We appreciate your patience.
@CULPA The above comment was not posted by a member of the CULPA team. We’re back now!
@testy sorry, CULPA guys, there is something terribly wrong with the site…. kinda sucks since this is the one week when everyone needs it.

@Tryna Poli Sci Any thoughts on when culpa will be back?
@Rawree this is sadly the earliest I’ve been awake this past week :(
@sleepy CULPA totally a loss today. Anyone know a good science course for a humanities person who is terrified at the idea of taking a class in the sciences?
thanks!
@Hmmm . . . try organic chemistry, heard it was a breeze.
@and the band will help you with your final!
@Anonymous science for sustainable development
easy, interesting, and totally relevant
@took this... and loved it! Possibly the best class I took at Columbia.
@Take Mowsh You’ll love it. Everyone loves bio, right?
@that bitch is awful. As much as it would be entertaining to see others suffer (hence why i liked the orgo suggestion above), I don’t think I can wish mowsh upon even my worst enemy.

@Down with CULPA Ack. SSOL is slow and CULPA is down. Darn you CULPA! Now I can’t tell if my profs suck or not.
@Anonymous Is CULPA down for anyone else?
@Anonymous This doesn’t apply to Barnard students whose registration begins on the 14th.
@Anonymous But we can change our courses around depending on our L signup times. For Juniors it started today at 11
@Class filing for Barnard DOES start today. It’s the same thing, just a different name for us.
@duh most of the things bwog discusses don’t have to do with barnyard, still hasn’t stopped youz from putting your sticky hands on all things CU
@Anonymous Wow, finally someone who agrees…
Has anyone mentioned that no one cares about barnyard yet?
@Anonymous Anybody still missing grades?
@its ridiculous! i’m still waiting… isnt there some sort of deadline?
@prof here our deadline is 48 hours after the final exam.
@Anonymous then why has it taken so long? Is it possible for profs to forget to put in the grades of individual students?
@prof here again No, it is not possible to forget one student. The entire roster must be filled in before it is submitted. So, if there is one TA who has not turned in grades (as an example) then everyone has to wait.

Still missing one grade.

@Dammit Bwog You should have reminded us yesterday!
@Senior Wow… my last time ever having to register online and both SSOL and CULPA screwing up on me.
Way to go, guys!
@yeah culpa seems to be completely down right now. UGHHH
@Umm Is SSOL down for anyone else?
@sleepy totally down for me! sucks!
@neurotic 14er i changed classes and my registration page shows that but my ssol schedule isn’t showing the changes yet :/

@Anonymous Sort of makes the “birds get the worm” image less meaningful
@ooooh I get the photo now. Clearly the ugliest bird i’ve ever seen.
@I think Columbia’s the bird and we’re the worm.
@Wow. Bwog is up really early.
@Anonymous Or up really late.
@hmmmm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Za0gWXJW1w
@HEY VEVO SUX!
@or has a different time zone
@CC-Alum I have a different time zone too
