Where Art Thou?

Waddup Fall?

Foliage galore, pumpkin-flavored lattés, and the start of the Columbia theatre season! What is this you speak of? Friends, Friday marks the end of a joyous summer. Our nights on the steps and days on the lawns are numbered. However, we take comfort in knowing that there will be many theatre-related free food and fun opportunities in our futures, even if they do not involve warm weather. If you would like to advertise your tropical island-themed open mic night here, email us at events@bwog.com.

  • Queer and Queer-Allied Artists are  invited to submit their queer-friendly art for the month-long QuAM Art Exhibit. In accordance with the month’s theme, the art exhibit is entitled “Coloring Outside the Lines,” though please feel free to interpret that theme as broadly as you want. Art submissions need not be explicitly queer, just queer-friendly! Any type of art you can think of will be considered—paintings, photography, poetry, performance art pieces—just bear in mind that for performances, we will have to screen your act prior to the exhibit’s opening on October 3rd. The art will be held for the first half of October in the Diana center gallery space and for the remaining half of October in the IRC. QuAM is accepting submissions until October 2nd at quam2011@gmail.com and can also accept submissions in person; just e-mail to set up a meeting time!
