Update, 12:36 am: Facilities just sent out an email to the effect that there will be no heat in Wien tomorrow from 9 am to 1 pm. Don’t worry though! There’s “no immediate threat.” Full email after the jump.

Because there’s a chance you won’t be able to tomorrow, unless you prefer strutting across campus in naught but a towel. Hamilton experienced an outage a few days ago, and Watt was left out to dry this morning. Something must bein the water.

Location:       Wien Residence Hall
Shutdown:       Steam (heating only)
Time:           9:00AM – 1:00PM (4 hours)
Impact: No heat to all floors
No heat to Jerome Green Annex

CUF Residential Operations is scheduled to shut down building heat to Wien Hall on Thursday 2/16 to address a leak within the electrical switchgear room.  Only building heat will be affected.  The current forcast for Thursday 2/16 calls for mid-40’s and rain (seasonably warm and well above freezing).  The shutdown duration poses no immediate impact to building utilities, residential floors or administrative spaces.
