More than a few tipsters informed us about this video of various Columbia sports teams getting pumped up for homecoming, and we think that it’s rockin’ and putting us in the fighting spirit. (Take note of the delightful twist in the elevator scene at 1:41.)
The energetic dancing has only begun! Another video, created by Arvin Ahmadi, CC ’14, and Nicole Bleuel, SEAS ’14, aims to lure Candy Crowley, the moderator of last night’s debate, to Columbia’s campus. Candy, we want you!

@Anonymous I hate that are campus is now associated with that I want candy video…
@Anonymous our*
but I agree
@Anonymous First video very entertaining. The second was just absurd. I don’t know any of the kids involved but I now have no interest in getting to know them. That they think this is a good vide is disturbing. I am all for lighthearted fun but I dont think the second video can be categorized in any way other than an absolute train wreck.
To Arvin Ahmadi, CC ’14, and Nicole Bleuel, SEAS ’14 – what you filmed… is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent video were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone who has seen this video is now dumber for having seen to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
@Anon This is probably why our teams suck so much.
@Overstressed by midterms The second video was terrible! Also, White people dancing = God’s way of entertaining the world
@shapiro 3 did a much better job with this..
@anon broverload
@Calm down All of the teams were contacted, it was their choice if they wanted to be in the video or not!
@the second video was seriously weak, wtf was that even about?
@Anonymous You know it’s a train wreck of a video when you start to feel embarassed just watching it. Sadly, that was quite possibly the most awkwardly vacuous video I’ve seen since Rebecca Black’s “Friday.”
@Anonymous Why are they suddenly playing squash?
@Anon To rival the first video
@cc 13 did i seriously just see a nonsarcastic post on bwog about homecoming that used the phrase “it’s rockin'”? …………are you sure this isn’t spectrum?
@Bull Not including a team that’s ranked 10th in the nation is bullsh*t. Period.
@Anonymous All teams were invited to partcipate
@Anonymous the athletes should be practicing rather than making videos so they don’t continue to SHAME AND DISHONOR COLUMBIA
@Asian Dad Commentor should be studying not commenting on bwog so he doesnt continue to BRING SHAME AND DISHONOR TO FAMILY
@Anonymous I’M DISSAPOINT.
@Anonymous That was actually quite charming, despite all the surprisingly inept-looking pelvic thrusting.
@Anonymous The first video: Charming, sure, whatever. The second video: Just sad. Nothing is more painful than people trying to make a “viral video.” And it really does a disservice to Columbia’s reputation as a cool/interesting/smart/at all tolerable school. It would be amazing to have her come speak, but the fact that they think this is the way to go about inviting her is just sad.
@CC '14 Remind me not to invite you to anything ever since you clearly have no sense of good, lighthearted fun. This was awesome.
@CC'14 It’s 2012. I shouldn’t have to suffer through almost two minutes of Gangnam style before the first hot jocks show up.
@Anonymous I’m surprised that a guy on our basketball team can dunk.
