Sarah Dooley, BC ’11, just launched her first video for her single “Peonies.” The project was funded largely by a successful Kickstarter campaign that surpassed its goal in July. This quirky, colorful video is the preview to Sarah’s upcoming album entitled Stupid Things. Her manager Erin Byrne, also a Barnard alum, told Bwog that Sarah’s office in the video is a classroom on the third floor of Prentis. The lab scenes were filmed in a gallery space in Bushwick, where the set was built from scratch.
About her video, Sarah muses, “What I love so much about this video is that it isn’t your typical girl-playing-piano-on-a-beach video. It’s much more of a short film, in that it tells a story, which is something I hope to do in my songs. ” For more information, check out her website.
Update: Unfortunately, we’re not able to embed the video — watch it here.
