Update 11/16: Around 4:50 this afternoon, NBC News posted an article titled “An American Missing in Paris? Family Searching for Austin Taylor,” detailing all that is known about the missing GS student. Last Tuesday, the NYPD detective in charge of Taylor’s missing persons case determined that his passport had been scanned in the French capital, leading his family to call off the case. Then, the coordinated terror attacks, which left at least 128 people dead, took place in Paris late Friday evening, forcing Taylor’s case into the national spotlight. As of 9:00PM November 16th, Austin Taylor has yet to be marked safe and his exact whereabouts remain unknown. Any further updates will be posted above.

Yesterday evening, a post went up in the ‘GS Students’ Facebook group requesting people to “please help out if [they] know something” regarding the disappearance of General Studies student Austin Taylor. We received a tip earlier today linking us to a missing persons page for him. The post states that Taylor has been missing since November 2nd, and was last seen in the East Village. If you have any information on his whereabouts, the page suggests you call the police (212-477-7809).

In addition to the missing persons page, a message from Taylor’s mother was posted in the GS Facebook group indicating that Taylor’s passport was scanned in Paris and the family was “calling off the search.” We have no further confirmation that the search has officially been cancelled.

We will update this post with any further information.
