Italy’s most active volcano, Mount Etna, erupted for the first time since 2013, sending lava and ash into the sky in a spectacular show. The ash from the eruption caused lighting to strike through the clouds and covered the nearby cities of Messina and Reggio Calabria, where the airports have been closed. Etna’s twitter account provided a very eloquent personal statement: “Being doing lots of cool shit recently”. (NASA)

The production made a strong statement with its all black ensemble, and stirred a social media conversation about color-blind casting.
