Settling: Donald Trump has agreed to settle and pay $25 million after several lawsuits have been filed against his for-profit Trump University. Many former students have paid $35,000 in tuition to be scammed: they were misguided by “high-pressure sales” tactics and were taught by instructors unqualified for their position.  (NY Times)

Reaching: New York City mayor Bill de Blasio has announced that he will be creating a task force to help decrease domestic violence in New York City. While the homicide rate has halved within the past fifteen years, his ambitious plan will combat domestic abuse that continues at persistent rate. De Blasio plans to involve the police force, social services, and domestic abuse survivors. (Huffington Post)

Settling: President Obama has urged EU Leaders to cooperate under the future Trump administration. As part of the smooth transition between presidencies, Obama has called upon the leaders to keep an open dialogue regarding foreign policy and maintain security ties with the United States and with President-elect Trump. Reaching: MSNBC has reported that the world is experiencing the worst migrant crisis since World War II. There are currently 19.5 million refugees, about the size of the New York State population that are currently displaced. Trump plans to send $11 million undocumented immigrants out of the country in his presidency, stating, “We have no choice.” (MSNBC)
