no, this is not the set of the upcoming spider-man movie

Happening in the World: A lagoon located in Aitoliko, Greece is completely covered in massive spider webs. Thousands of Tetragnatha spiders are living underneath these webs and are rapidly reproducing. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think that this is the work of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man (CNN).

Happening in the US: Yesterday morning, 26-year-old Snochia Mosley killed three people and wounded several others before fatally shooting herself at a Rite Aid distribution center in Maryland. This is the third workplace shooting in the US that has happened since Wednesday (New York Times).

Happening in NYC: On Thursday, Kevin Richardson was sentenced up to 12 years in prison for conducting a botched butt job that led to the death of one of his Manhattan patients, Latesha Bynum. According to prosecutors, Richardson used a local Dunkin’ Donuts as his waiting room. The nurse that greeted patients there before leading them to Richardson’s Gramercy Park apartment, Allison Spence, was indicted with manslaughter charges (NY Daily News).

Happening on Campus: CU BlueShift, Columbia’s astronomy club, will be hosting an evening of stargazing on Low Steps tonight at 9 pm! I don’t really know much about stargazing, but maybe you’ll find your zodiac sign? (I’m a pisces btw.)
