It’s now or never, folks. Speak now or forever hold your wrecked GPA.

If you’re barely pulling a C in a class and don’t want it to completely tank your GPA, there is a solution: P/D/F, baby.

Electing to P/D/F a course means:

  • A letter grade of A+ through C- will appear on your transcript as a P.
  • A letter grade of D will appear on your transcript as a D.
  • A letter grade of F will appear on your transcript as an F. (Barnard.edu)

Should you end up wanting to uncover the grade you’ve selected to P/D/F, you can do so after the semester ends and your final grade is hot and ready. If not, whether that “P” is an A+ or a C- is between you and the pillow you’ve been crying into all semester.

You can P/D/F a course on SSOL (for Columbia students) or my.Barnard (for Barnard students). Instructions for SSOL can be found here, and instructions for my.Barnard are here.
