Happening in the World: Disha Ravi, a climate activist in India, has been arrested for sharing a “toolkit” that guides activists on how they can protest and support protestors. Delhi Police confirmed her arrest in a tweet on Sunday, reporting that she was accused of helping create and spread the document (CNN).

Happening in the US: After the mayor of New Orleans announced that COVID-19 restrictions would be canceling Mardi Gras for 2021, citizens of the city banded together and have created house floats to ring in the holiday. More than 9,000 people are expected to participate, with some contracting with float building companies to keep their business going in this odd time (BBC).

Happening in NYC: A study performed by New York University found that the New York City subway stations are the most polluted stations in the Northeast, having almost double the air pollution as other stations in some cases. Most concerning is that New York and New Jersey have the highest amount of Particulate Matter 2.5, a toxin linked with asthma and lung and heart problems (Gothamist).
