Happening in the World: At least 35 people are dead after Russia fired missiles at a Ukrainian military base. The base, outside the city of Lviv and near the Polish border, is near a major point of crossing for refugees fleeing the conflict into Poland. (BBC)

Happening in the US: Two US citizens have been freed from Venezuelan custody after talks with a US delegation in Caracas. The two men freed are Gustavo Cárdenas, a Citgo executive; and Jorge Alberto Fernández, a man accused of terrorism. President Biden said that both men were “wrongfully detained in Venezuela”. (BBC)

Happening in NYC: A man stabbed two employees at the Museum of Modern Art after his membership to the museum was revoked for misbehavior. Both victims are in stable condition. The man, Gary Cabana, is still at large. (Gothamist)

Happening in Our Community: Join the cyberseminar “The Demography of Sustainable Human Wellbeing”, taking place on March 14 from 10 to 11:30 am. During the seminar, a group of scientists will vet a new indicator of human wellbeing, the idea of “Years of Good Life”.
