Every race with a winner has to have a loser. I am the loser.

Bwogline: A horse with 80-1 odds has won the Kentucky Derby, one of the biggest upsets of all time in the world’s most famous horse race. Rich Strike, ridden by jockey Sonny Leon, had the longest odds of any winning horse since 1913. (BBC)

Study Tip: Don’t.

Music of the Day: “I Bet on Losing Dogs” by Mitski. It’s simple: a melancholy song for undeniably melancholy times. Additionally, it ties nicely into the Bwogline (animal racing). I like to imagine the gamblers who bet on losing horses (while simultaneously having relationship troubles) going home and listening to this song in the dark.

Procrastination Tip: Say you’re going to begin studying at 9:30 but then look at the clock and realize it’s already 9:33 so think you might as well wait until 10:00 but then fall back asleep and wake up at 11:17 so it only makes sense to hold off studying until 1:00 (after lunch and everything, you know?) but then once again miss the mark and see that it’s 1:01 and at that point, the day is almost up so it kind of makes sense to wait until tomorrow to really begin studying.

Overseen/Overheard:

“My teeth feel hot.”

“I have a question for you. What the fuck?”

“We’re gonna show you the right way but we’ll also show you another way.”
