Today’s Bwog In Bed is all about great works of art—like “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn” by Andy Warhol, and Lover by Taylor Swift.

Bwogline: Yesterday, Andy Warhol’s iconic pink and light blue print of Marilyn Monroe sold for $195 million at a Christie’s auction. The piece, entitled “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn,” was one of five silk-screen printed portraits that Warhol made after her 1962 overdose.  This sale of “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn” now represents the most expensive 20th-century artwork to be sold at auction. The previous record was held by “Untitled” by Jean-Michel Basquiat, a painting which sold for $110 million in 2017. (Gothamist)

Study Tip: Recognize when to step away from the laptop. If you’re barely keeping your eyelids open, that last paragraph of your essay can probably wait until morning. (This is easier said than done.)

Music of the Day:  I Think He Knows by Taylor Swift. Lover is one of my favorite TS albums, but for some reason, I had never clicked with this song before. I just love how peppy this is, and it’s the perfect song for walking down Broadway on a sunny day.

Procrastination Tip: Journey to Trader Joe’s to stock up on finals week snacks. I’m a sucker for the dark chocolate peanut butter cups, mango greek yogurt, and baby carrots.

Overseen/Overheard: “[REDACTED] looks like an Elf on the Shelf.” I’ll confirm that this one was accurate.
