While these allegations have been denied by the band’s label, the controversy continues to be all the talk on Chinese social media. Happening in the US: Nicki Minaj finally released her highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Pink Friday 2.” The album has 22 tracks, featuring various famous rappers and artists, and is the first full-length album that Minaj has released since her 2018 album, “Queen.” (AP)
Happening in NYC: According to GrowNYC employees, Mayor Eric Adam’s budget cuts will lead to a loss of compost collection sites at NYC’s greenmarkets. All 53 composting employees of GrowNYC are anticipating layoffs by December 18, leading to the discontinuation of the nonprofit organization’s familiar orange tents. The same budget cuts that have caused this led to a 5% reduction in the sanitation department’s animal budget, restricting impacting community composting programs and causing over 100 job losses across relevant organizations. Happening in Our Community: The one-day 2023 Naomi Berrie Frontiers in Diabetes Research program is being held today on the seventh floor of the Columbia School of Nursing from 9:30 am to 5 pm.
