The Narcan girl.

Name, School, Major Hometown: Molly Stahl; Barnard College; Sociology; Hamilton, NY

Claim to fame: I’m the girl who always has Narcan and fentanyl test strips

Where are you going? Staying in NYC for the foreseeable future

What are three things you learned at Columbia and would like to share with the Class of 2028?

1. Make sure to explore the city and leave campus often, there’s a whole city out there to explore.

2. TAs are not all-knowing but are a useful resource if only to be a go-between for students and the professor.

3. Take hand-written notes! Personally, I am far too distracted on my computer to use it for notes, I will end up online shopping.

“Back in my day…” We had to bring Bluetooth speakers to the lawns at night to hang out because we couldn’t go to each others’ dorms.

Favorite Columbia lore? I’m kind of in love with the eugenics bench on Barnard’s campus because I love Jenny Holzer and also just think it’s funny and so unserious.

What was your favorite class at Columbia? Either US Lesbian and Gay History with George Chauncey or Deviance and Social Control with Diane Vaughan.

Would you rather give up oral sex or cheese? I can’t imagine anyone would say they’re willing to give up cheese, that’s simply too far. Obviously, I would give up oral sex.

Whom would you like to thank? God, a million people. My first Barnard friends, Kit, Ellie, and Isa, everyone I’ve lived with all four years, and my family of course!

One thing to do before graduating? Go to the Varsity Show.

Any regrets? Being too intimidated by Butler to go there often!
