This week’s AskBwog is from a Secret Admirer.
Dear Bwog,
There is a particular boy that I see on campus all the time who I have become infatuated with. Unfortunately, we have never met, nor is there any plausible way we could. I would feel awkward forcing a way for us to come into contact. What should I do?

Dear Secret Admirer,
Oh, the trials and tribulations of a campus crush! Don’t fret. We’ve all been there. And trust me, there is always a plausible way to meet them. Firstly, and the least awkward of all the possibilities, let’s go old-fashioned: start a conversation! If you see him all the time, slide a compliment his way. Even something as simple as “I like your shoes” can at least give you a chance to introduce yourself. Next up and barely more creepy, talk to your friends and network. Chances are, your friends have also seen him around—even if they don’t share your preference, they may have an “in” at a chance to talk to him: a shared class, a mutual friend, or a club. Finally, although this is my personal least favorite option because it is less funny and uninteresting, you can find him on Instagram and message him from there.
An alternative option to all of this is to sit outside of Ferris wistfully staring into space and listening to “Linger” by The Cranberries, thinking of what could’ve been if you had just started a conversation.
Love,
Bwog
