Maybe an overnight stay at the Port Authority Bus Terminal wouldn’t be so bad?

Happening in the World: Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the talks occurring between the United States and Russia “inspire hope” that a common ground exists and can be found between the two countries. This comes after Russian and American delegates met in Istanbul today, the first of a series of meetings with hopes of strengthening the relationship between the two countries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is also engaging in talks with President Trump, specifically regarding an agreement allowing the US access to Ukraine’s mineral resources. (BBC)

Happening in the US: Jeff Bezos, billionaire and owner of the Washington Post, has stated that the newspaper’s opinion section will publish content exclusively that supports “personal liberties and free markets”, and content that opposes this will not be published. This choice led to the resignation of David Shipley, the organization’s opinion editor. Several political figures, including President Donald Trump and Elon Musk took to social media in support of this move, though the organization claims the changes were “not about siding with any political party”. Right now, they are gearing up for a production of “Gl’Amour: A Tantalizing Cabaret Experience,” tickets are around $45 and can be purchased here for viewers 21+. (Gothamist)
