A little too phallic, or just right?

All Weekend:

• New Opera Workshop presents Opera Untapped, a show filled with various operatic scenes directed, played, and sung by students.  You have two chances to see this, Thursday at 8pm or Saturday at 5pm in the Glicker-Milstein theatre for only $5 with CUID.
• The fall performance of LateNite is here just in time for the last weekend of the semester.  There are plenty of chances to see this, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 11pm and also Saturday at 8pm, all in the Lerner Black Box.  Plus it’s free with a reservation!
• NOMADS presents The Gift, written by Anika Benkov CC’16 this weekend in the ADP house.  Tickets are free, so catch a show Saturday at 8pm or Sunday at 2pm.

Friday:

• Bacchantae’s fall concert BRRR-chantae is going on this friday at 7pm in the Glicker-Milstein theatre.  There will be a few holiday songs in addition to many other pieces.  Best yet, it’s free.
• Sharp’s Second Annual Winter Concert is taking place in Lerner C555 at 9:30pm.  Don’t miss this opportunity to watch men in suits sing.  And rumor has it the the step team VENOM might make an appearance.  Plus it’s free.

Saturday:

• The CU Gospel Choir is also having their winter concert, Blessings and Victories, this Saturday at 5pm in Lerner C555 for only $5 with CUID.
• The Columbia Bach Society is bringing you something that isn’t Bach on saturday:  Mozart’s Requiem.  So stop by St. Paul’s chapel at 6pm to see this completely student run group put on this epic piece.  And it’s free.
• Barnard Columbia Chorus and Chamber Singers is having their Annual Candlelight Concert at 8pm in the Church of the Ascension, 221 107th St.  This year their headlining piece is the Rachmaninoff Vespers.  Tickets are $3 with CUID.
• The newest dance group on campus, Columbia University Ballet Ensemble, is having their first performances Saturday at 8:30pm and 10pm.  They’ll be performing excerpts from the ballet Sleeping Beauty in the Glicker-Milstein theatre for $5 with CUID.

Sunday:

• Michael Skelly’s piano students head to Sulzberger Parlor at 2 and 4pm. In the first recital, expect to hear Beethoven, Chopin, Genova, and Schubert; in the second, replace Genova with Debussy. The events are free and we have heard rumors that delicious cookies may make an appearance.
• The Columbia Wind Ensemble and the Columbia Chamber Players are teaming up to present their winter show Tales and Visions.  The event is free with CUID, so there is no reason not to be in Roone at 2pm to see this performance!
• The Columbia Orchestra is having their final performance of the semester in Miller Theatre this sunday at 8pm.  The tickets are free and the program looks good, so go check it out!
• The Columbia Glee Club will be performing pieces for you sunday at 8:30pm in Lerner Party Space.  It’s free plus there is promise of food.

Monday:

• It’s that time of year again, when XMAS!8: Elves Gone Wild takes to the stage!  This year their two performances will take place at 7:30pm and 10pm in Roone.  There are only two shows, so get your tickets soon!  $5 with CUID for a few hours of entertainment and laughter before the unmentionable…

Tuesday:

• Miller Theatre is giving us a gift during reading week:  a free performance of the brilliant Yarn/Wire quartet.  The show starts at 6pm, and all you have to do is just show up.
• The Columbia Metrotones are having a performance, but it’s not just going to be in a random room in Lerner.  They’re performing at Webster Hall!  So if you want to get off of campus, hear some a capella, AND support fellow Columbians, this is the perfect opportunity!  Tickets are $20 advanced sales and $25 day of.  So buy your ticket and get to Webster Hall by  the start of the show at 8pm.
