@invisible_hand instead of “monkey man” by the stones for darwin, it should’ve been “from monkey to man” by elvis costello (even though they already have one of his songs… he’s just that good!)
@umm... FYI: John Locke wrote the Second Treatise on Civil Government, not Rousseau…
And I know the Green Day version of “I Fought The Law”, not the one by The Clash
@former student/old fart I love DA Ryan! I’m glad they let him teach CC. I guess they don’t make him teach l&r (or whatever the kids are calling it these days) any more.
@I just want to say mad props on Mother Nature’s Son.
@critic for including the Nada Surf cover instead of the Pixies original:
-1
for including a Shaggs song:
-1000
@not fair and somehow, i got stuck with the teacher whose final exam essay is: in order to understand why it sometimes snows in winter, do we need a knowledge of divinely revealed texts or an inherent faith in god?
@heya This is the tracklisting from a cd the professor gave out– so if it’s a cover, it’s a cover because that’s what was included– not necessarily out of ignorance
@along those lines i fought the law is by the crickets–post buddy holly
@Yeah but everyone knows it by the Clash version. That’s not true of the Pixies correction, of course.
@not really i know a lot of people who think that buddy holly did the song (though that’s wrong)
@also “I Feel Free” is a song written by Cream, not The Cream
@man nada surf song is a Pixies cover.
