Applications for Daily Editor and Staff Writer positions are due at 11:59 pm EST tonight!

That’s right, tonight! The 22nd of January! You still have time! And once you’re done, be sure to send in your apps as PDFs to editors@bwog.com and title them “*First Name* App.” You can also email editors@bwog.com with any questions.

As a refresher: what are Staff Writers? They are beating heart of Bwog, the people who see the comedic brilliance while staring at their screen during Zoom class, the people who fill the otherwise empty shell of this website with hilarious, serious, wonderful content. As a Staff Writer, you can write about nearly anything, from events coverage on the history of bread-making to how your mismatched socks are totally Columbia-related.

Daily Editors, on the other hand, truly are the brains of Bwog, the people who keep the site intact when everyone else is running on “no thoughts head empty.” They write Bwoglines, make quips in the tags, and lovingly heckle our Staff Writers to make sure their posts are ready to go up on time. Daily Editors know things the rest of Bwog doesn’t. Daily Editors are the most powerful. And, of course, you’ll be able to write posts like any Staff Writer would, too.

We’ll be announcing our new Staff Writers and Dailies at our open meeting at 9 pm this Sunday, January 24th. The Zoom link will be posted on this Facebook page (email us at editors@bwog.com if you don’t have a Facebook account to access the link and we can email it to you). If you get your application in by tonight, you could be one of the names joyously announced at the meeting!

Wait! What if you love Bwog but don’t want to write or Daily? If you’re artistically inclined, then there is one more opportunity for you: be an Illustrator! And lucky for you, those apps aren’t due until Tuesday, January 26th.

And in case you don’t want to go back to the original posts with the Staff Writer and Daily Editor applications, they’re also below. You can apply to both—just submit a single application with the position you’d prefer clearly indicated.
