Not quite Eyes Wide Shut, but close enough.
A more appropriate REM song title reference is perhaps On The Street Where You Live.
Infinite regression alert! If this generation really is Post-Everything, then isn’t it also Post-Post? And Post-Post-Post?
I drink your milkshake! I drink it up!

@not michael stipe it was actually a depeche mode reference, cause im gay like that.
@Bwog Brilliant. The link from Milkshake to Manhattanville was very clever. Kudos.
@I thought the BJ article was pretty interesting and well written. She took a little jump with the connotations of eating out vs. blow job but I thought the article was great.
@HW Plainfield What?
@alexw That thing about oral sex was terrible. It wasn’t like it was poorly written or anything, it was just entirely dumb and pointless. Not only did she point to “rainbow parties” as evidence (It was a scare which ended up being an almost total fabrication and is now essentially an urban legend.) but she actually tried to force her own connotations onto “blow job” and “eating out.”
Also, what the hell is a third wave feminist and why am I supposed to know what that is?
@eliza doolittle isnt ”on the street where you live” a line from my fair lady?
the current is awesome
@bad writing aside, the feminist deconstruction of oral sex was probably written by a woman who’s never had sex. we’re really supposed to refer to your sex as a “vagina” while we’re fucking? like it or not, sex is supposed to be politically incorrect.
@it's way too early to deal with the atrocities these people have performed on the english written language.
@CML DRAIIIIIIIIIIIINAGE
@Armin Roesn I said lets get liquored up and go to the peach tree dance
@jpm it is way way too early in the day to read a feminist dissection of oral sex terminology.
@Daniel Plainview Here, if you have a milkshake, and I have a milkshake, and I have a straw. There it is, that’s a straw, you see? Watch it. And my straw reaches across the room and starts to drink your milkshake, I drink your milkshake! SLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRP! I drink it up!
@why does everyone work remotely on email these days?
We’re post-post-office!
@good old days speaking of post-post office…
prof. andreas huyssen: “who was using stamps in the early 20th century?”
student: “the post office?”
huyssen: “I mean, the dada, right?”
