In the final SGA meeting of the semester, SGA’s Vice President for Finance, Danielle Hopkins BC ’21, presented the budget for the next academic year.

This week, SGA heard a petition for an update to Barnard’s anti-discrimination policy, and viewed a presentation about Barnard’s finances in the past year.

This week, SGA Rep Council heard a presentation from Barnard Library that focused on the recent work that the Library has done toward improving accessibility and community outreach.

This week, SGA Rep Council met with Ariana González Stokas, Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and Cammie Jones, Executive Director of Community Engagement and Inclusion, to discuss how Barnard can become more inclusive. 

This week, SGA Rep Council heard from the team at Access Barnard, a new office supporting the first-generation/low-income, international, and Opportunity Programs student populations at Barnard.

On Monday night, SGA Rep Council heard from members of Barnard’s Pandemic Response Team about – you guessed it – Barnard’s pandemic response, including student experiences in quarantine and isolation, and how to keep the Barnard, and Harlem communities safe.

This week, SGA Rep Council heard from Barnard Trustees Jyoti Menon BC ‘01 and Marcia Lynn Sells BC ‘81 P ‘23 about the work they do on the Board of Trustees. 

This week, SGA Rep Council learned about Title IX, CARES, Community Safety and what it means to be safe on Barnard’s campus. 

On Monday night, SGA Rep Council had their first open meeting of 2021 (!), where they heard from candidates for SGA appointments.

This week, SGA heard from Dean of Beyond Barnard A-J Aronstein to learn more about support for students graduating into an economic recession.

On Monday night, SGA heard from President Sian Leah Beilock about Barnard’s support of transgender and non-binary students, fundraising goals, and yup, you guessed it: plans for the Spring 2021 semester.
