Running for student government? Contact us for the possibility to get the endorsement of the best news blog on campus!

It’s that time of year again! You’re running for student government, and Bwog COULD endorse you!

Due to a shortened semester in this pandemic school year, student government elections are early this year—with voting for CCSC, SGA, and ESC opening on Monday. Bwog is open to endorsing any candidate running for any position for any of the undergraduate student governments—but we need to know that you are running first!

If you or your party would like to be considered for an endorsement from Bwog, please email editors@bwog.com by this Sunday, March 21 at 3 pm EST. These emails should state who you are, what position you are running for, and your availability for an interview. Interviews will then take place later that Sunday and the following Monday and Tuesday. These interviews will be about 15-minutes long and over Zoom. Please be prepared to share your platform with our editorial staff and answer any questions we may have. After the interview process ends, the editorial staff will then discuss and select the applicants we believe will best represent the student body.

Our selection of endorsements will then be posted to our site on Wednesday. This post will show who we endorsed for each position and why, giving the voters a few days to decide before voting closes on Friday.

If you have any questions about this process, please refer to our 2020 endorsement post, or email us at board@bwog.com.

And if you’re running for GSSC… stay tuned! We will revisit this process with you in a few weeks, as your elections aren’t until April.
