Everybody’s favorite little piece of Mexico on Amsterdam is currently closed for renovation, and there is no word on when it will be back up. And that “everyone” includes two 20-something males overheard saying “We’ve been foiled again!” as they looked sadly upon the closed restaurant.

@Karen Heartbreaking news. HEARTBREAKING. We just got Community back after 5 months and now we lose Taqueria for who knows how long? Is someone in Morningside Heights trying to STARVE ME???

@Tip A restaurant that is “closed for renovation” usually means it failed inspection.

@Anonymous i refuse to click on that link. i rather be ignorant and happily eat my weekly order of beef tacos durados for the rest of my life… if anything, “urban animals” add spice and keep the food cheap.
