Congratulations to a new class of Barnard women! Yesterday evening, Barnard sent out its decisions to regular decision applicants of the class of 2020. This year, Barnard received a total of 7,071 applications, and admitted a total of 16% of them, the lowest admission rate in the college’s history. This new record is a significant decrease from last year’s admissions rate, 19.5%.
The Barnard class of 2020 will be the first class to have applied under the college’s new transgender admissions policy, as well as the first class to take part in Foundations, the new general education requirements that will replace the Nine Ways of Knowing next year.
Everyone at Barnard is excited to welcome the class of 2020.

@Julia Communist lesbian degenerates are about to light up morningside heights next year 🔥
@Anonymous Impressive. Barnard is basically is on par with Cornell and Penn now.
@Um, no. I think everybody knows Penn>Cornell>Barnard. Nice try, though.
@Anonymous I don’t think anybody in their right mind actually thinks Barnard is on par with Cornell or Penn, in terms of prestige/reputation, selectivity, research output, quality of faculty, or resources.
It’s kind of ridiculous to claim two schools are on par with each judging by acceptance rate alone.
And yes, I actually do think the consensus is Penn>Cornell>Barnard (not trying to be rude).
@Anonymous at this rate barnard will be getting more applicants than columbia soon,
lol, false
@Anonymous No, however Columbia’s popularity does help Barnard and vice versa.
@Anonymous Nah. I’m pretty sure it tends to be a one-way thing; as in the only reason anybody knows about Barnard is because of Columbia.
And no, Barnard will never get as many applicants as Columbia. Let’s be real, Bwog.
