In a surprise move, CUIT has increased bandwidth quotas from 350 MB/hr to 1000 MB/hr download and from 180 MB/hr to 400 MB/hr upload. Not that Bwog advocates anything that could possibly get your hard drive reformatted, but if you happen to need to, say, download a 750mb .pdf from your professor, be glad to know that you can now do it during the hours of 10 A.M. to midnight.

@wat Harmony is connected to the on-campus network. You have unlimited traffic between any other system on the Columbia network, NYSERNET (plus Internet2) systems.
@wait I don’t get why the favorite comment is a favorite. Does some chick have a webcam set up in harmony that I should be watching or something? Or is there heavy vehicular traffic between here and harmony? Or is harmony really far away? What’s funny?

@hmm can’t fathom any 750MB pdfs floating around that most of us would ever download … but cool (that’s about the size of a compressed 2hr movie – at least the ones that I download (semi-legally))
