@awwww!!!! look at the 2 chicks linking arms on the far left, they look so snuggly…….this pic is great, cant wait for the show =)
@yay NONSEQ! So much talent in this year’s show. Can’t wait!
@Former JJ11 Resident Are a lot of these people from JJ 11?
If so, props for keeping the awesomeness of JJ11 alive.
@Carolyn Yep, Elizabeth Power and Chris Silverberg both lived on JJ 11 last year. I’m a little biased because I did too!
@a little vshow-jj11 history Emily Nagel, this year’s director (116’s publicity manager and v115’s SM), lived on JJ11 in ’08-’09.
Kat Chan, props designer of 115 and 116 lived there in ’08-’09.
Meredith Kirk, choreographer of 116 lived there in ’08-’09.
Cody Haefner, producer of 116 and asst-producer of 115 lived there in ’08-’09.
Becca Lewis, producer of 115 lived there in ’07-’08.
And I’m fairly certain there were more yet, I just can’t remember. If I am remembering correctly I think Jeff Schwartz, producer of 114 lived there as well?
@Carolyn Magical!
@wow Some people think St. A’s secretly runs this school, but I think it’s clear that it’s actually JJ11!
@Aw no John Goodwin or Alex Hare? They were the best part of last year’s!
@Alice Oh my god. SHUT UP. Damn non-theatre kids… don’t understand anything…
@seriously john goodwin was so dreamy…
@Shut UP John
@John I can tell this one’s you, Adam. And I’m glad no one makes that joke anymore.
Congrats to all of 117, you guys are gonna rock it! Just remember to have fun!
@WHITE mostly–in alignment the student body ratio or no?
said it, do with it what you will
@Bob Vulfov is the greatest man alive.
@Ben Weiner Also: Is this some kind of sports team?
@Ben Weiner you are fantastic and CONGRATS TO ALL!
@Anonymous V-show is half freshman? There are 3 juniors and no seniors. How the hell are freshman suppose to craft a show that has insight jokes if they have yet to really be on the inside?
Do I want to sit through two hours of lit hum references? no.
@Hey asshole, the writers (both seniors) and C-Team are all upperclassmen.
Have a nice day.
@Anonymous sorry, I don’t follow collegiate theatre groups very closely.
From what I can see in this article, everyone is young. It might be that you have the best writers and directors from Broadway helping you out, but I can’t see that, and thus I would be making my decision to buy a ticket based upon this knowledge.
I, for one, am less likely to purchase a ticket if I think everyone is a youngster (whether I am right or not). You should encourage Bwog to include this pertinent information. This isn’t a great advertisement otherwise..
@Adam http://bwog.com/2010/11/04/announcing-v117/
Shut the fuck up and be a real person.
@Alice Clearly you don’t, because if you did, you would realize that the Varsity Show cast has been composed of primarily freshmen and sophomores for at least the last three years.
@Why argue with this person? s/he was upset that the show might not have “insight jokes.” I think that is a valid thing to be worried about.
@Ben Weiner FYI: The actors don’t write the show. They act in it. The writers are seniorfolk.
@Also to be a senior and do Vshow is really tough cause you have to give up enjoying your last semester.
@AND... Sarah Dooley in 114: FRESHMAN
Pat Blute in 115: FRESHMAN
Alex Hare in 116: FRESHMAN
@AND ONE DAY WE WILL SAY.... Rebekah Lowin: FRESHMAN
@Anonymous Is that Abigail’s sister???
@Naina Yes!! YAY REBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Anonymous Agreed. Seniors definitely know better than to waste their last semester on VShow. It’s a temporary death sentence.
@V116 Last year 4 out of 12 of the V116 cast members were freshmen and the show was fabulous. I have full faith that V117 will be amazing. I’ve seen these freshmen in action they are phenomenal.
@fail This was a legitimate concern a few years ago, when the WRITERS were underclasspeople. But it doesn’t matter if the cast is composed primarily of underclasspeople (as it historically has been), since it’s the writers who need to have insight into Columbia life that frosh don’t yet have.
Apart from that, your attack on “youngsters” is simply asinine. Why are freshmen and sophomores obviously worse actors than juniors and seniors? Maybe there’s a difference between someone in their 20s who’s just starting out on off-Broadway and an established actor in his 40s, but the idea that a meaningful difference exists between actors a few years apart is ludicrous.
@in unrelated news SIPA decided they’re not fascist after all:

@Adam VULFOV!!!
Congrats to all! Can’t wait for EVERYTHING.
@When Bob Vulfov goes to 1020, he drinks pure talent.
@Anonymous Bob Vulfov fought a battle to the death and lost, but later won in a rematch.
@Surgeon General Warning Each serving of Four Loko contains 5% pure Bob Vulfov
@Anonymous Bob Vulfov’s blood type is Whiskey.
@Anonymous Yay Chris! Congrats!!!
