Another snowstorm, another reason to love New York and Columbia. As they did during the storm last year, the kind folks at The Colbert Report reached out to Bwog, letting us know that the “odds are good” of getting standby tickets for the day’s taping of the show. Your friends made fun of you for coming back early… but now who’s laughing! Ha ha! (You are. At the taping of The Colbert Report.) Full tip with details:

It’s that time of year again! Due to heavy snowfall last night, we over at “The Colbert Report” think that today will be a great day to head on down to the show for standby tickets. Standby tickets are not guaranteed, but the odds are good considering the heaps of snow outside. Besides, school hasn’t started yet, so what else are you doing?

New York, NY 10019Standbys should sign in around 4:30pm, but then they don’t have to be back until 6pm (meaning you can go and get warm during the interim). The taping ends around 8:30pm. Standbys must bring a government issued photo ID (like a driver’s license or passport). You must be at least 18 years old to see the taping.

@CC '11 Really? Never wore off for me. Every time I walk back onto College Walk dragging my suitcase, I feel like I’m home. (Bah, I sound like a cheesy quote from an admissions catalog or something)

@NO i went last time with a friend, we didn’t get in but we DID get frostbite. i do NOT recommend.
@Why didn’t you go inside? You only have to be out there for a bit. I got in, sat front row, it comes highly recommended.
