Miron Sarzynski, the suspect arrested in Operation Ivy League and accused of supplying drugs to the five Columbia students, pleaded guilty yesterday, the NYTimes reports. According to a spokesperson for special narcotics, Sarzynski pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and first-degree attempted kidnapping. He will probably face six years in prison. His girlfriend, Megan Asper, who was also arrested as part of the operation, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She is expected to receive a sentence of 45 days in jail. Sarzynski will be sentenced on March 29, and Asper on April 26.

The authorities were led to the pair during the undercover investigation of Harrison David. Charges against the Columbia students and a third person accused of dealing to them, Roberto Lagares, are still pending. In light of recent changes to state drug laws, it is still unclear what sort of jail time, if any, the students will face.
