Nothing says “I wanna lick your lollipop” like a locally made lollipop!

Ah, Valentine’s day. Whether you take today as an opportunity to make your lover a locally-grown feast, or as a time to gorge yourself on chocolate, the Columbia Greenmarket is there for you! Take a break from loving/ crying/ pretending-not-to-care/ actually-not-caring and come support your community! As always, the greenmarket is open year-round on Sundays and Thursdays and accepts credit, debit, and EBT.

There is food scrap collection for compost every Sunday, from 8am to 1 pm, and textile recycling every Sunday from 8am to 3pm.

• Happy Valentine’s Day from Greenmarket! How about some Ballard’s honey for your honey? Treat your sweetie to a DIY day spa — tips/instructions at the info tent for luxuriating honey body scrub, relaxing bath soak, honey conditioning mask and silky smooth mask made with honey, buttermilk and rosewater.
• Sign up for our Refer-A-Friend program and help us grow the market and be eligible to win prizes! Stop by the information tent to pick up referral cards for your friends, neighbors, colleagues and roommates. They’ll receive a cup of tasty, hot apple cider when they bring your referral card to the market, and you’ll be automatically entered into a raffle to win a $50 gift card!
